Psalm 37:4, “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”

   The Psalmist declares that when a believer delights in the Lord, God will give that believer the desires of his heart. Think about some of the things people desire. Think about some things about God in which we should delight.  

   If you desire COMPANIONSHIP, delight in His PRESENCE.  Hebrews 13:5, “… for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”  Think of this wonderful truth; you never to feel alone or forsaken!  

   If you desire COURAGE, delight in His POWER.   Matthew 19:26, “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”  That is why the Apostle Paul said, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me. (Philippians 4:13)

   If you desire CONTENTMENT, delight in His PROVISION. Philippians 4:19, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”  The devil, the world and our own carnal nature tells us we need “more”, but God has promised to give us what we need!

   If you desire CREDIBILITY, delight in His PROMISES. 2 Corinthians 1:20,” For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”  We live in a society in which is difficult to find truth and those who will keep their word. Praise God, if He said it, it is so!

   Delight in Him. Receive that which you desire!
